Verde Asset Management
Mr. Stuhlberger started his career at Hedging-Griffo in 1981 as a commodities and futures market trader. In 1985, he became director of the Hedging Griffo brokerage firm. In 1992, he set up the asset management business and the Verde family of funds, which includes some of the oldest and largest hedge funds in Brazil. He graduated in Civil Engineering from POLI – USP and has a postgraduate diploma in Business from EAESP – FGV (CEAG).

M Square Brasil
Mauricio Bittencourt is a Founding Partner and Portfolio Manager at M Square Brasil, an investment company focused on Long Term Equity Investing in Brazil. Mr. Bittencourt started his career in 1992 at Investidor Profissional (currently IP Capital Partners) and worked at Synthesis Asset Management (currently 3G Capital) from 2003 to 2005 and Banco Pactual (currently BTG Pactual) from 2005 and 2007, before joining M Square Brasil in 2007. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 1994.
Founding Partner & Managing Director
André Roberto Jakurski is a founding partner of JGP and has been a managing director since its incorporation. Mr. Jakurski is responsible for the fixed income, equity and currency trading activities in global markets. Mr. Jakurski also supervises all trading and investment activities of the group. Prior to founding JGP, Mr. Jakurski was a founding partner of Banco Pactual S.A., where he was responsible for the management of equity funds and portfolios. Prior to founding Banco Pactual S.A., Mr. Jakurski was an executive director at Unibanco, one of Brazil’s largest universal banks, for ten years. At various times, Mr. Jakurski has served as a director of the Brazilian Association of Investment Banks (ANBID), the Brazilian Association of Leasing Companies (ABEL) and the Brazilian Futures Exchange. Mr. Jakurski earned an MBA from Harvard University in 1973, with high distinction, where he was named a Baker Scholar. He received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in 1971. Currently, he is a member of the Board of the Dean’s Advisors at Harvard Business School, a member of the Board for Latin America at the Harvard Business School (he was Chairman from 2003-2009) and a member of the Global Advisory Council at Harvard University.
Managing Partner & Principal Portfolio Manager
Beeneet Kothari is the Managing Partner and Principal Portfolio Manager of Tekne. Prior to founding Tekne, Mr. Kothari was a managing director and portfolio manager at PointState Capital, a multi-billion dollar global macro investment firm. Before joining PointState at launch in January 2011, Mr. Kothari was a managing director and portfolio manager at Duquesne Capital Management, a thirty-year old investment firm founded by Stanley F. Druckenmiller. At Duquesne, Mr. Kothari managed a global technology, media and telecom portfolio and helped manage the fund’s overall technology exposure. He joined Duquesne as an analyst in September 2005 and became managing director four years later in 2009. Prior to joining Duquesne, Mr. Kothari worked at Morgan Stanley as an investment banking analyst after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s joint-degree program in Management and Technology with dual degrees from Wharton and Engineering, and also earned a Master’s in Biotechnology, in four years. He graduated with honors including the prestigious Dean’s Award for excellence from Wharton, awarded to the top student in each graduating class.
Farallon Latin America
Mr. Goldberg joined Farallon Latin America in 2011 and is the Managing Partner of Farallon Latin America Investimentos Ltda. Prior to joining, Mr. Goldberg served as the President of Morgan Stanley in Brazil. Prior to that, he headed Brazil’s antitrust and consumer protection agency as Brazil’s Secretary of Economic Law in its Ministry of Justice. Mr. Goldberg received a law degree and a doctorate degree from University of São Paulo. In addition, he received a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School.

Hernan Kazah is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Kaszek Ventures. He currently sits on the board of several technology companies such as Zup, DrConsulta, BelezaNaWeb, Technisys, MadeiraMadeira, PetLove, GetNinjas, GuichêVirtual, Loggi and DigitalHouse.
Before founding Kaszek Ventures in 2011, Hernan cofounded MercadoLibre in 1999, where he was COO for 9 years and CFO for 3 years.
Prior to this, he worked as Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble Co., and was a finance analyst at the United Nations Development Program.
Hernan received an MBA from Stanford University and graduated magna cum laude in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires.
Additionally, he is currently a Board Member at LAVCA (Latin America Venture Capital Association) and a Board Member at ARCAP (Argentina Venture Capital Association). Hernan was selected Endeavor Entrepreneur in 1999, chosen Established Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2009, and awarded “The Outstanding Young Persons of Argentina” recognition by the Junior Chamber International in 2004.
CEO & Portfolio Manager
Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P.
William Ackman is the CEO and Portfolio Manager of Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., an SEC registered investment adviser founded in 2003. Pershing Square is a concentrated research-intensive fundamental value investor in long and occasionally short investments in the public markets.
Prior to forming Pershing Square, Mr. Ackman co-founded Gotham Partners Management Co., LLC, an investment adviser that managed public and private equity hedge fund portfolios. Prior to Gotham Partners, Mr. Ackman began his career in real estate investment banking at Ackman Brothers & Singer, Inc. Mr. Ackman received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Harvard College.
Mr. Ackman is the Chairman of the board of The Howard Hughes Corporation (NYSE: HHC). He is a Trustee of the Pershing Square Foundation, a member of the Board of Trustees at The Rockefeller University and the Board of Dean’s Advisors of the Harvard Business School.
Co-Founder & Senior Managing Director
Steve Quamme is a Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of Cartica.
Mr. Quamme is Senior Managing Director at Cartica and is a member of the Investment Committee. He has extensive investing and operations expertise, and helps oversee Cartica’s investments, portfolio construction, and operations. Prior to forming Cartica, he was a co-founder and COO of a $1.0 billion U.S. activist fund as well as Senior Managing Director of an affiliated professional services firm focused on corporate governance, restructurings and turnarounds.
Formerly, Mr. Quamme was the founder and co-CEO of Milestone Merchant Partners. Milestone (subsequently acquired by Houlihan Lokey) was a full service merchant bank that provided investment banking services and also managed a series of private equity funds. Mr. Quamme began his career as a securities and mergers & acquisitions attorney at Baker Botts.
Mr. Quamme earned his BA from Northwestern University and his JD from Northwestern University School of Law. He serves as a member of Northwestern’s Law Board and also its Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Board of Visitors. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Board of Directors of the Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital. Mr. Quamme serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Alsea, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: ALSEA*), a Cartica portfolio company.
